Wiz At Wire Workshop
Wire makes a great foundation shape and can also be worn as a fashion accessory without trimming. Historically wire foundations were created to structure and embellish the hat. In Victorian times with Bird wings, feathers, and tulle, and pleated silks. They form a great foundation for a 1950s whimsy, Tiaras, and Salsa Dance, as well as Costume and Fashion Headwear.
In this creative workhop you will elevate your millinery skills and learn more about the art of using millinery wire for your designs.
Learn to create a Mini Wire top hat (developed for Catherine's 2009 David Jones Collection) using traditional millinery tools.
All materials for this class are included in the course fee.
9.30 am - 4.30 pm . We will take a short lunch break to discover the local area, or take a stroll around the Rozelle collectors markets.
This workshop is held in person at the Embellish® Atelier, 128 Victoria Rd Rozelle.
