Braids and Bow Demonstration by Catherine Kelly In this presentation award winning milliner, Catherine Kelly, will talk about the traditional and contemporary uses of millinery braids.
In a LHW22 exclusive she will launch the teaching of a braid bow technique to the international millinery community with a full demonstration.
Catherine is the owner of Embellish Atelier, Hatters Millinery Supplies and Hatters Millinery School, and runs the annual Hattember Millinery Competition.
While establishing herself as a prominent Sydney milliner Catherine has been awarded the prestigious International Hat Arts Competition Public Prize from L’atelier Musee du Chapeau in 2009 and the Jean Carroll Award of Best Spring Derby Day Hat. At the 2010 and 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Shows Catherine won a 1st Place, as well as various other Excellence Awards and commendations for her millinery creations.
She is also proud to be in theTop10 Myer Millinery Award in 2019.
Her successful couture millinery business is based on the principles of using only the finest textiles to create an outstanding headpiece for her clientele. Catherine’s designs are timeless with her bespoke pieces adding glamour and elegance to all occasions. This talk/demonstration is suitable for all levels.
